Reflexology was a very pleasant experience. Especially because the practitioner has been a nurse for many years and brought a wealth of knowledge, experience and compassion to her work. I felt in very safe hands.
Working for an emergency service I have to complete the bleep test yearly. At the end of March I failed it and subsequently realised I was injured but on a tight turn around for my retake. I called HTC and Stuart fitted me in the very next day. The consultation revealed a bad hamstring strain but this gave me the diagnosis I needed to relay to work. Over the new few months I saw Stuart he performed ultrasound and shockwave therapy to my leg as well as giving me exercises. I had massages in between from Patrick and Louise to complement the work Stuart did. I was able to complete the bleep test just over 5months later and passed. I would not have achieved this if I’d stuck with the 3 physio sessions my organisation gave me which involved adding exercises to an online portal only. I am already looking at returning for treatment on my back. I would highly recommend Stuart and his team.
Have been seeing Stuart and others in the team for a while for lower back and shoulder / neck issues. Can’t praise them highly enough. Not only a great physiotherapy and massage experience but a lovely team - always polite, always helpful. Can’t recommend them highly enough.
Seeing Stuart Unthank was a recommendation from a family member who had a positive experience with his practice. Stuart proved to be highly professional, knowledgeable and skilled. He took time to really listen to a complex and frustrating nerve related issue and asked comprehensive questions to help build a picture and understanding of my symptoms. His work was thorough, and he talked me through the medical rationale of everything he did in terms of movement and physical assessment. He has really helped me on a journey to understand my symptoms and move towards recovery. Highly recommended!
I booked in to see the wonderful and lovely Samantha Robinson for reflexology when preparing for my next embryo transfer during my IVF journey. I saw her multiple times from June until the transfer late August. I’m pleased to say the transfer worked, and I continued to see her from 12 weeks til literally a few days before I gave birth to my daughter. I booked with Sam as I heard the benefits of reflexology during IVF and after multiple miscarriages. What can I say the proof is above, but more importantly Sam is absolutely fantastic at her job, she is warm and kind, so reassuring and calm. I love every minute of the treatment, she is relaxing and gentle, I can’t wait to book in soon. I truly believe I owe Sam for her part in making this IVF story successful, it was the 1 main difference of this attempt and Baby Evangeline is a testament to Sam. She is the calmest and happiest baby I’ve ever known, most likely to do with the relaxing visits to see Sam every couple of weeks up to full term. Thank you again Sam for everything, the best reflexologist around!
HTC has come to my rescue more than once. Whether it's calf muscles to fix to ensure I can Irish dance in an imminent competition or treat my gout so I can comfortably walk in London for a key workshop they are there. Stuarts team are professional, considerate and give you reassurance from day one. Phil is a magician. Understands the body and explains what's happening as he treats you. I womt lie sometimes the treatment is painful but it's secure in the knowledge you'll leave there in better shape than when you went in!
No more than most, I don't like pain and having my movements restricted. I could wait in the hope nature might take its course but if I can be made mobile again quickly and relieve the pain I'll do anything.
To say I'm blessed to have HTC around the corner is an understatement.

I visited Stuart and the team with some shoulder pain that had been going on for months and months. I had tried various things from my GP including some physio but had not been able to improve - it was daily pain and becoming unbearable.

A great service that I would highly recommend. Had knee pain, lead physician listened, diagnosed and treated with success. Have had to go back for other knee and i have had the same experience. Easy to book online, flexible if you need to rearrange.

I have been visiting Sam for my regular reflexology sessions for over 6 months now and I can honestly say she's the best. I always leave her session feeling relaxed and refreshed. She keeps me updated on any issues she can find and provides a solution where she can. 10/10 service for sure.
This will be my second visit to Hempstead therapy and I wouldn't go anywhere else. All the staff are excellent at what the specialize in.Two other members of our family have been here
The team here are fantastic, Stuart, Krupa and Sam to name a few. They are all professional in their jobs, provide excellent service and their knowledge and experience is unbelievable. A special mention to the reception team as well, always extremely helpful, professional and always greet people with a smile. Everyone is a credit to the team.
I cannot praise Stuart and the team enough. I have had lower back pain for nearly a decade. I've seen so many different professionals that either couldn't help improve it or said it would be something i would need to live with.

I went with very stiff replacement knees, and was seen by Phil, who was very professional, and done a great job in freeing up my knees, and various other parts of me with stiff muscles, this in just two sessions, would definitely ask for Phil again, if I feel the need to go back

I had a full body massage today with Rob and my god was it good. I’ve had a lot of all over body pains since I got poorly over 2 years ago and every muscle was just rigid and didn’t want to move. After his massage I left feeling amazing. My whole being felt relaxed and was moving really well. He worked so hard for that full hour. I feel incredible thank you so so much. Superb place. So clean and calming with lovely reception ladies. Can’t wait until I’m there again
Edit… today 2/10/24 met the lovely Phil the osteopath. He did amazing with me today. My whole body is just locked up and painful. The treatment today was fabulous. Such a super team of very nice ppl very qualified and professional. I’m a hard case to work on but always feel better when I come out. This is the best way to deal with everything without just being fobbed off at gp and just given another tablet to mask the real underlying problem.
Update nov 2024
Had shock wave therapy with Stuart he’s passionate in finding treating and fixing. Very knowledgeable in everything. It will take a few more visits of shock wave but I’m very hopeful things are improving.
Again saw Phil the osteopath same day. He’s an amazing guy kind empathetic and very caring. He’s working his magic with me. No pain no gain.

Go and have a fantastic sports massage that actually fixes the underlying problem rather than masks it with medication given by GPs. You’ll never have a normal spa massage again. However… availability of appointments is pretty poor. The earliest appointment is typically 2 weeks lead time and when you have an injury requiring urgent attention it’s not helpful.

Having damaged my shoulder with torn and severed tendons and in a lot of pain, I visited Stuart who initially diagnosed the problem which was later confirmed after having ultrasound.
I have had regular exercise appointments and have been very pleased with the end result.

Having broken my ankle and lower leg in January 2019 and suffering pain and immobility since having surgery. I decided to see if physio therapy could help. I visited the Hempstead Therapy Clinic, immediately felt welcome and. made an appointment to see Stuart for assessment. I,m 76 years of age and I,m thinking my future is not looking too rosy.However, thanks to Stuart and his team, miracles can happen.After 2 months treatment I can now walk unaided and. thankfully can drive again. Thankyou all at HTC for your kindness and consideration and not least your very efficient service.

I was suffering from a very painful heel problem.

Mahousive thank you to Krupa, best physio I've ever had! I'm 98% better so might pop back for that extra 2% but in no rush, great work from a lovely person who occasionally laughed at my jokes x
I would totally recommend Stuart at the therapy centre, I had terrible pain from plantar fasciitis and through shock wave & ultrasound treatment, I was cured. It did take a couple of months but I’ve now completed the couch to 5k and regularly run 5k pain free ! Thanks Stuart & Team x

After a fairly bad ankle injury I spent a number of months working with Stuart to rehab my ankle back to health, everyone at Hempstead therapy center was fantastic and would recommend to all needing treatment!
I'd been suffering with pain in my elbow area for some time and contacted the Hempstead Therapy Centre for advice. I booked an appointment with Claudina (Osteopath) and after an assessment, was diagnosed with tennis elbow. Claudina has been absolutely brilliant in treating this condition and together with her hands-on therapy, and the exercises that I was given to do at home, the pain is gone! A great clinic which is very efficiently run, clean and welcoming. Claudina is absolutely lovely - very professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend!
Had difficulty walking without pain and discomfort, got in touch with Hempstead therapy centre and after being assessed I was diagnosed with chronic plantar fasciitis in both feet. After quite a few months of treatment I feel good and have been discharged. I would like to say thank you to Stuart, Megan and Claudina also the reception team who are friendly and lovely. Friendly, positive, effective and a genuine pleasure in every regard, even the dry needling! I could not recommend strongly enough. I had been to several providers before coming to these guys and none had anywhere close to the impact that Megan did. She listened and immediately understood what the issue was and there was no 'up a bit, down a bit, ooh no quite on it' but she was right on the problem area every time and best of all, on every return visit Megan made it clear she remembered me and my situation and everything was a continuation and progression of the previous session as opposed to other providers where I have felt like with each return visit the therapist has completely forgotten everything about me and my situation.

Made an appointment with the podiatrist,she was very lovely and dealt with my bad toenails in a very professional manner. She provided very good advice for ongoing self treatment - there was no pressure to book further appointments - but I would definitely go back if I had any further issues. The reception staff are brilliant as well! Great location for parking.
Very warm friendly staff on the front desk, both physio and massage therapist warm and friendly they made me feel really comfortable and listened to. It felt like a really safe space to be in. They have created a therapy programme specific to my requirements. I feel safe in their capable hands.

After 3 years suffering from a weak left leg and unable to climb or descend stairs safely I sought the assistance of Stuart, a former army Physical Training Instructor, now a consultant Physiotherapist. I was impressed at the detailed notes Stuart took and his immediate diagnosis of Piriformis muscle syndrome. previously under the care of a Medway Health centre I had suffered for some three years. After only two months therapy I can now walk long distances and can walk down stairs confidently. Today I was discharged as his patient as a very active and fit 72 year old..... Thank you Stuart, Rob and team.
Great clinic and would fully recommend. Very happy with Claudina's osteopathic treatment- professional and friendly she's brilliant. I went in with a very bad back/ slipped disc and even though my recovery has been slow, the treatment from this practice has really helped me and best thing is you can book online. Very convenient location and exceptionally clean. Nice to see they also clean the treatment tables between clients. Keep it up!
I have the highest regard for Stuart and all his team. I have had a bad back, made worse by 2 car accidents. After an assessment with Stuart he recommended the correct path for rehabilitation, and now my back is stable and pain free. With the help of Stuart & Megan, who is a great osteopath, alongside Pilate’s which was brilliant & I enjoyed going. I also had a really painful knee, Stuart said he could repair it and he did. I have had massage therapy for my aches and pains & I have had dry needling. I would not go anywhere else for assessment & rehabilitation they get the right results every time!

The warm welcome at reception, and the most incredible practitioners who are thorough, personable, and professional. I was so lucky to get an appointment at short notice after a recommendation from a friend and between appointments with Stuart, Clarissa, Megan, and Cary I was relieved of the excruciating neck, back, and shoulder pain within a matter of weeks. I cannot speak highly enough of this clinic. I would go straight back to this brilliant team if ever I needed more treatment.
